Absolutely — and this is one of the things that sets us apart. We collaborate with your full care team with your permission. Many REIs and OB-GYNs across Arizona refer patients to us because we fill the gaps they don't have time to address. You don't have to choose between us and your existing doctors. We work alongside them.

Some of our most meaningful work happens with women who come to us after unsuccessful IVF cycles. Failed cycles are not failures — they're information. Our role is to look at what might have been missed: egg quality, inflammatory markers, thyroid optimization, immune factors, uterine receptivity. Getting your next cycle the best possible foundation is exactly what we do.

Yes — and most of our patients start here. We help you understand your cycle on a clinical level, identify what's actually standing between you and conception, and build a plan that gives your body the best chance. Whether you eventually move toward IVF or not, a strong hormonal foundation makes every path more effective.

Every recommendation we make is grounded in clinical research and your specific data. Panels are tailored to your case and may include:

Thyroid — TSH, Free T3, Free T4, TPO & thyroglobulin antibodies
Ovarian reserve — AMH, FSH, antral follicle count

Insulin resistance & metabolic markers
Inflammation markers, micronutrient status, and more

We use serum (blood) testing because it gives us the most accurate, clinically actionable data. We don't order tests that add cost without changing your care — because your time and your resources matter.

We are a concierge, fee-for-service practice and do not bill insurance directly. We provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement, accept HSA and FSA funds, and labs and imaging can typically be run through your insurance. Select plans include a lab credit toward initial comprehensive testing.

Yes. Dr. Zen is licensed in both Arizona and California. California residents receive the same comprehensive concierge care — including new patient consultations, lab reviews, supplement and nutrition guidance, and ongoing membership support — via telehealth from home.

Any recent lab results, imaging, or medical records — and a list of your current medications and supplements. Complete your intake forms in the patient portal before your visit so Dr. Zen can review your full picture in advance. Your appointment time is spent on strategy, not paperwork.
